The rail pad also called rubber pad is an important component of track structure.

The rail pad is installed between the rail and the concrete sleeper.

The main function of the rail pad is to relieve the strong vibration and impact caused by the passing train thus protect the roadbed and sleeper. What’s more, the rail pad also provides electrical insulation for the signal system.

Since the rail pad is long time exposed to the atmosphere, the rail pad must have very good resistance to natural aging, extreme cold and heat. For rail pad used in subway system, they must have very good performance on anti-vibration and anti-noise.

Our HDPE rubber pads are supplied in our e clip fastening system which including the shoulder, the e clip, insulator and the HDPE rubber pad.

The rubber pad is black high density plastic, 60-70 Shore D durometer when tested to ASTM D2240.  The moulding and extrusion material hardness shall be stable between 10℃ and 70℃.
